Mail worksheet Templates
Ron de Bruin (last updated 20-Feb-2010)
Go back to the Mail index page

After you insert the mail worksheet template into your workbook you have the ability to send all or part
of it either in working format or with just the values that are shown by current data and formulas.

Each “x” in column A is the beginning of a new E-Mail, the lines between each “x” are used to create the mail.
Don't forget to fill in an "x" below the last line (it will not send the last mail if you forget it).
You can use one line to send one sheet or the workbook to one person or more lines
to send an E-mail with one or more sheets (or the whole workbook) to one or more recipients.

After you install one of the templates you can insert the template worksheet
in every workbook you want like this.

1 : Right click on one of your sheet tabs and choose insert
2 : Select <RDBMail> or <RDBMail Outlook> or <RDBMail CDO>
3 : Press OK

The example below will send three mails.

1: Ron will receive Sheet1 with the File name “FileName1” and subject “Testmail1”
2: Dave and Jelle will receive Sheet1 and Sheet2 with the File name “Filename2” and subject “Testmail2”
3: Frank will receive the whole workbook with the File name “Filename3” and subject “Testmail3”

Note: In the Outlook and CDO version you can also use CC, BCC and body text.

Note: you not see the Values and Send column in this screenshot
If you want to change the formulas to values in the workbook you send enter "yes" in the values column.
Use the same password for all worksheets in your workbook and enter this in C3 of the template sheet.
The code will unprotect / make values of the cells / protect every worksheet in the workbook you send.
But if a worksheet password is different then the value in C3 it can not make values of the formulas in the worksheet. If you enter “no” in the Send column it will not send the mail.

I use .Display instead of .Send in the code because it is faster to press the
Send button in every mail then wait till you can press OK in the security dialog
each time. (you can change it to .Send in the code if you want)

For Excel 2007-2010 I have two new versions here (workbooks and PDF's)

If you use the CDO template there are no security warnings.

Look first on this page if you can use the CDO template.
